The Franciscan monastery of the Hermitage of Saints Peter and Paul was founded around the years 1228-30 by Saint Anthony of Padua. It is a set of religious buildings that despite being outside the historical center of Bienno are tourist destinations for many visitors from the rest of Italy and abroad, who find in this place a source of meditation and great spirituality. Over the centuries it was restored, becoming ever more impressive. Only in 1977 some young Camuni created a “Reference Group” for the promotion of occasions of spiritual and cultural encounter within the convent.
